By His Wounds

“But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.”
Isaiah wrote this seven hundred years before the cross, and he wrote it in the past tense. That is prophetic certainty. Matthew 8:17 applies the verse directly to Jesus' healing ministry, and 1 Peter 2:24 repeats it for the church.
Notice how forgiveness and healing sit in the same sentence, purchased in the same transaction. We do not hesitate to receive forgiveness by faith; we should not hesitate to receive healing the same way.
The same cross that dealt with your sin dealt with your sickness. Receive both with the same confidence.
Faith that keeps standing
Receiving by faith is not denial. It is not pretending symptoms are absent. It is choosing which report you build your life on while you keep taking wise care of your body and value the doctors God has given.
Speak the Word over your body today. Thank God for the life of Christ at work in you. And if you are believing for a breakthrough, do not stand alone — let the church stand with you in prayer.
Confession
By His wounds I am healed. The life of God is at work in my body. I speak the Word over my health and I thank God for His provision.
Prayer
Father, thank you that healing was purchased for me at the cross along with my forgiveness. I receive the life of Christ into my body today. Strengthen my faith, guide my care, and let your Word be the report I trust, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
