At REIGN Church we preach, teach, and live the Gospel of Grace. Everything we believe flows from one truth: Jesus has already finished the work. Our part is not to earn what He has given — it is to receive it, believe it, and live from it.

Foundations
Four pillars of grace.
Grace is a Person
Grace is not merely a doctrine or an idea — grace is Jesus. "For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ." When you receive Jesus, you receive grace itself.
John 1:17
Righteousness is a gift
"God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God." Righteousness is not earned by behaviour — it is imputed by faith.

A better covenant
"But in fact the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the covenant of which He is mediator is superior to the old one, since the new covenant is established on better promises."

Reigning in life
"How much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ." Receiving is the key to reigning.

Old Covenant vs New Covenant
A better covenant, built on better promises.
The Old Covenant was a covenant of law — dependent on human performance. The New Covenant is a covenant of grace — dependent on Christ's performance. Understanding the difference changes how you pray, how you read Scripture, and how you live.

Clearing It Up
Six misunderstandings about grace.
Grace is often misquoted — by those who fear it and by those who abuse it. Here is what Scripture actually says.
Misunderstanding
“Grace is a licence to sin.”
What Scripture says
Grace is the power not to. "For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace" (Romans 6:14). Titus 2:11-12 says grace itself teaches us to say no to ungodliness.
Misunderstanding
“Grace means God ignores sin.”
What Scripture says
God never ignored sin — He judged it fully in the body of Jesus. Grace is not sin overlooked; it is sin paid for (Colossians 2:13-14).
Misunderstanding
“Grace makes believers passive and lazy.”
What Scripture says
Paul said, "I worked harder than all of them — yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me" (1 Corinthians 15:10). Grace does not remove effort; it changes the source of it.
Misunderstanding
“Grace was only for the New Testament era; the law still governs us.”
What Scripture says
Christ is the culmination of the law for everyone who believes (Romans 10:4). The law was our guardian until Christ came (Galatians 3:24-25). We now live by the Spirit, fulfilling the righteous requirement of the law from the inside (Romans 8:3-4).
Misunderstanding
“You have to feel worthy before you can approach God.”
What Scripture says
"Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence" (Hebrews 4:16). Your access is based on Christ's worthiness, never your performance on the day.
Misunderstanding
“Grace means there are no consequences to our choices.”
What Scripture says
A man reaps what he sows (Galatians 6:7). Grace does not remove the natural consequences of unwise choices — it removes condemnation and gives us power to choose differently.
The Fruit of Grace
What grace produces in daily life.
Right believing always shows up in right living. This is what happens when grace takes root.
Rest instead of striving
You stop working for acceptance and start working from it. The pressure to earn what Jesus already secured falls off your shoulders.

Boldness in prayer
You approach God as a righteous son or daughter, not as a suspect hoping for a hearing.

Freedom from shame
Failure no longer defines you. You run to the Father, not away from Him.

Genuine holiness
Grace produces from the inside what law only demanded from the outside — a life that loves what God loves.
Titus 2:11-12
Generosity
Having freely received, you freely give — in money, in mercy, in patience with people who fail.

Fear stops running your decisions and circumstances stop dictating your future. You live from victory, not for it.

Know the Words
A short glossary of grace.
The vocabulary of the New Covenant, explained simply.
- Grace (charis)
God's unearned favour and empowering presence, given freely through Jesus Christ — not a reward for behaviour but a gift to the undeserving.
Ephesians 2:8-9
- Righteousness
Right standing with God. Under the New Covenant it is imputed — credited to us as a gift through faith in Christ, not achieved by works.
Romans 5:17; 2 Corinthians 5:21
- Justification
God's legal declaration that we are righteous, based entirely on the finished work of Jesus. Not 'made better', but declared right.
Romans 3:24; Romans 5:1
- Redemption
To be bought back and set free at a price. We were purchased out of slavery to sin by the blood of Jesus.
Ephesians 1:7; 1 Peter 1:18-19
- Propitiation
The full satisfaction of God's justice regarding sin, accomplished by the sacrifice of Jesus once for all.
Romans 3:25; 1 John 2:2
- New Covenant
The better covenant established by the blood of Jesus, in which God writes His laws on our hearts and remembers our sins no more.
Hebrews 8:6-12; Jeremiah 31:31-34
- Imputation
The crediting of Christ's righteousness to our account, and our sin to His. The great exchange at the cross.
2 Corinthians 5:21; Romans 4:5-8
- Sanctification
Being set apart for God. In Christ we are already sanctified positionally, and the Spirit progressively forms Christ in our daily living.
