Real lives. Real grace.

For years I carried deep shame from experiences of abuse in my childhood. Growing up in a home where we didn't talk about anything, I felt alone and broken. It affected my confidence, my self-worth, and the way I lived my life for many years.

A brother from REIGN kept sharing the Gospel with me and inviting me to church. At first I wasn't sure — but the Gospel of Jesus Christ kept freeing me and drawing me closer to God, my Father. When I realised how much He loves me, my heart opened, and today I know Him personally.

God led me to give my life fully to Him, to be baptised, and to follow Him. Through the ladies' cell group at REIGN I found freedom, community, and a place to be vulnerable, loved, and strengthened in Christ. He healed me in ways I never thought possible — He renewed me, restored me, and made me whole. I no longer rely on medication to cope, and I am living a life guided by Him.

I was broken, lost, and a shadow of myself after the 2020 car accident that took my two precious children. I felt abandoned, shattered, and full of anger and pain. I couldn't even bear the thought of God's will.

Everything changed the day a friend invited me to REIGN Church. The very first Sunday, Pastor Ian preached about 'give us this day our daily bread.' For the first time I understood I didn't have to carry tomorrow's worries — I could trust God for each day.

The next Sunday I learned about generosity. I decided to test God, and He overflowed my life with blessings. My fear, anxiety, and grief began to lift. August 2025, a month that once brought unbearable sorrow, became a month of restoration, hope and joy. I gave my life fully to Jesus, registered for baptism, and even faced my fear of driving — buying my first car in five years.

God didn't stop there. He called me to honour my late daughter's memory by serving orphaned children, and in November doors opened for my career in ways I never thought possible. God has taken my deepest pain and turned it into hope, restoration and purpose.

Last year my husband and I were going through a very difficult time. We had nothing — struggling to pay rent, feed ourselves, or afford basic utilities. We were ready to give up and move back home.

One Sunday, Pastor Ian preached about Abraham waiting for his promised child. It hit me deeply. After the service he spoke to me and said, 'Go home for a holiday, rest, and come back next year. I promise your life will never be the same.' That calm but confident statement changed everything.

We returned the following week, came through Growth Track, became planted at REIGN, joined the church fully, began serving as Ushers and Greeters, and started leading a Cell Group.

God restored our marriage, our health and our finances. My husband was re-hired at double the salary, and we signed our first business contract with a major institution in Bloemfontein. As the Lord began to bless us we started honouring Him first with our tithe — partnering with God through REIGN to help others experience the restoration we received. We are truly blessed to be a blessing!

In July 2022 our world collapsed. My family and I lost everything we had invested our hearts, time and future into. Our family business fell apart, and setback after setback followed. Financial pressure mounted, debt increased, and emotionally I felt overwhelmed and broken.

Although I had grown up in church and believed in God, I never truly had a personal relationship with Him. In one of my lowest moments, instead of turning to alcohol, I opened my Bible and began reading the book of Job. God met me there.

In early 2025 I walked into REIGN Church, and everything changed. From the first service I felt at home. Through REIGN I learned how to pray, how to understand God's Word, and how to walk with the Holy Spirit daily. God healed deep wounds — anger, fear, regret and trauma. I learned to forgive those who hurt me and let go of the past. I will never forget Pastor Ian telling me, 'Nobody loves you more than Jesus.' That truth transformed my heart.

In September I was baptised, publicly declaring my faith. In 2025 I was retrenched twice — yet I stood firm. Today I lead my family spiritually, bring my children to REIGN, and live out biblical principles daily. I have peace, strength, purpose and hope. REIGN is more than a church — it is family. I belong. I am home.
